Does any medication interfere with the diagnostic test?
Corticoids:
- Corticoids like prednisone or prednisolone at 1mg/kg/d PO during 2 months do not interfere with the test. If more dosage has been given or during more time, we recommend removing the corticoid for 3-4 weeks and then take the sample.
- If a depot formulation has been given, it should pass 4 weeks before taking the sample.
- Topical or otic formulations: do not interfere.
Cyclosporine: it does not interfere with the test if given at 5mg/kg/d during 2 months. If more dosage has been given or during more time, we recommend removing it for 1 month.
Antihistaminic and Essential fatty acids: do not interfere.
Oclacitinib (Apoquel): does not interfere with the test.
