Shipments of Biological Material from Countries Outside the EU

Shipments of biological material sent from countries outside the EU are subject to customs clearance and veterinary inspection. The clearance process usually takes several days. Genomia always cooperates closely with the customs office and veterinary authorities to ensure that the shipment is processed as quickly as possible.

Please clearly state on the package: “samples for research purposes, shipment value 1 EUR, HS code 3002590000”.

Shipments with a tracking number delivered by Czech Post are checked by customs authorities, who usually charge a customs clearance fee and, if required, a veterinary inspection fee. These charges are typically 32 EUR or 80 EUR. Genomia cannot influence the amount of these fees.

Shipments delivered by couriers such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS ... usually have higher shipping costs, but in most cases no additional customs clearance or veterinary inspection fees are charged.
