Tests for horses: SNP panel Equine80Select BeadChip
SNP analysis of horses for research of genomic breeding values using Illumina Equine80Select BeadChip technology
The BeadChip contains a total of 79,000 markers selected based on genotyping of seven horse breeds (Arabian, Andalusian, Akhal-Teke, Icelandic, Standardbred, Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse):
- approximately 77,000 autosomal markers
 - approximately 2,000 sex-linked markers
 - approximately 300 mitochondrial markers
 - approximately 1,000 markers for paternity testing and disease determination
 - normal marker density in the region of the equine major histocompatibility complex

The BeadChip is suitable for genetic imputation to higher marker density and overlaps with markers from the Axiom Equine Genotyping Array. Suitable array applications include:
- Complex trait research
- Diversity analysis
 - Genomic disease risk prediction
 - Parentage verification

 - Molecular breeding
- Basic association studies
 - Increasing the efficiency of breeding programs
 - Fundamental analyses of selection signatures

The result is data output from the Illumina Equine80Select BeadChip. The final report is provided in TXT format for processing in GenomeStudio.
